From graffiti to delicate watercolor still lifes, Gues moves fluidly between walls, trains, paper, and canvas. Since creating his first spray-painted works in the 1990s, he has continued to explore the urban environment while developing a distinctive studio practice that blends abstraction and figuration.

Although graffiti served as his gateway into art, Gues has gradually moved beyond its conventions. His watercolors function as „literate abstractions“—vibrant compositions of wildflowers, geometric forms, and carefully preserved negative space, where drawing and painting merge in works driven by spontaneity and color.
