Akay - (SE)

Akay is one of the most recognized street artists in the world. He started as one of Swedens first graffiti writers and as a founding member of the crew Vandals In Motion. (VIM).

Since the late 1990’s he has broadened his area of work focusing on site specific illegal installations in public spaces. Akay has made art installations in all kinds of formats and sizes that have been seen in all corners of the world. Often he works in colllaboration with others including street artists Brad Downey, Adams, Klisterpeter and Made.

Many projects play with the idea of general right of access to public areas which includes making use of available materials and the city’s no man’s land.
